Beautiful Trullo in Carovigno in Apulia – 2 bedrooms – 2 bathrooms – sleeps 4 with heated pool (in winter). Ideal for a family holiday, as the pool is not too deep. Near to some fantastic restuarants and the centre of Carovigno, with its medieval castle and local traditions.
This is a new Trullo, that has been designed for out door living. Its near to the town of Carovigno and is in the countryside. The Trullo sits in its own grounds of approximately 8,000sqm, with a large pool, 12m x 4m.
The pool has a shallow end, which is ideal for children, and slopes away to a depth of 1.2m. Outside there is a covered veranda, with stone seating around a stone coffee table, also there is a marble stone table with seating for 6. Inside to the left there is a white fitted kitchen, with stainless steel sink, and dishwasher. A large fridge freezer, gas hob and electric oven.
The open plan kitchen and dining room, are furnished with a modern contemporary style. The two bedrooms are both double, one with bath and shower, and toilet. The 2nd bedroom has a shower room, with toilet and sink. The Lounge has a TV and seating for 6.
There is a portable BBQ which is ideal, as it can be moved, so that evenings are spent together, whilst the designated chef can be practising his BBQ skills, with produce bought from the many local shops, supermarkets and butchers which always have freshly grown vegetables, and locally sourced meat. In Summer there are many festivals that take place in the town centre. In the piazza, there are organised events, local street artists, live music, and also classical music, with the local bands playing music from one of the many famous opera houses.
At Easter there are Folk Groups, fireworks, concerts, which are held in the historic centre. There is also the famous processions Madonna di Belvedere, where the statue of the Madonna di Belvedere is carried on the shoulders through the main street of the city. In July and August there are many gastronomic Cultural events, with local cuisine and exhibitions, Flag throwing competions and events. Many Festivals take place throughout the summer months. Beaches are only a short drive away, with Torre Guaceto WWF protected area on the coast of Carovigno a place of natural beauty with ponds, inlets, beaches and cyrstal clear seas. Many things to do including snorkelling, biking and birdwatching. Carovigno is a hidden gem, and a must for those wanting to experience the ‘real italy’.
